Job Description:
Work with students one-on-one or in a group setting, often in a computer laboratory Assist with various components of courses including grading homework, quizzes and exams as assigned Assist in (some of) the following courses:
Mathematical Concepts Contemporary Mathematics College Algebra Pre-Calculus Calculus 1 or 2 Introduction to Statistics Introduction to Finite Mathematics Introduction to Web Programming Introduction to Computer ScienceRequirements:
Familiarity with and mastery of the topics of mathematics and computer science are essential Prior computer or mathematics coursework is required and students must have demonstrated exceptional skill in these courses Must possess aptitude in using computer software and/or graphing calculators Ability to explain the concepts (in multiple situations) as well as the computations involved Recommended Skills Information Technology Mathematics Software Applications Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
