Requirements:
QUALIFICATIONS AND TEACHING
Responsibilities: Ph.D. required (ABD considered) in Geography, Anthropology, or related field with experience in Geographic Information Systems (GIS). The successful candidate will be expected to teach human geography courses, world regional geography courses, and develop upper level courses in their area of specialty. Candidates whose interests span interactions of environment and society are especially encouraged to apply.

Both tracks include fundamentals of science, economics and politics, plus hands-on laboratory and fieldwork. Central's recently re-accredited education department offers elementary and secondary education majors within a developmental learning model to prepare students to become effective educators. Education is consistently one of the top five most common majors at Central and our placement rates are exceptional; over 50%25%20of our majors earn Master's degrees after graduation.
Although the orientation of the college is the education of the liberal arts students, those majors who have chosen graduate school have achieved considerable success.
